Through It

"Most of our obstacles would melt away if, instead of cowering before them, we should make up our minds to walk boldly through them."

Orison Swett Marden

The recipe calls for water, sugar, ice cubes and lemons, lot of lemons. Well, we've got a bunch of lemons here, let me tell you...

The community center cancelled our Thursday classes and moved our Tuesday classes out of the fitness studio we've used for 4.5 years. They have their reasons, which I may go into later, but yeah, not cool.

There is a chance that we could get the room back, but still...until that happens (if it happens...) we are in a pinch with beginner intro classes meeting just once a week and intermediate / advanced classes only meeting twice a week. Not a good situation for learning or for gaining new members.

So, as I search for a better place and pray for direction, instead of being brought down by the situation, let's make lemonade, let's make the best of the situation. We will alter our training to make the best of what we're given, and we will grow stronger. More than ever, it is important that you come to class ready, that you ask questions, that you give your all in class and that you train outside of class too.

We will grow stronger as individuals and as a group through this.

Sometimes, as strange as it may seem, we grow more when the odds are against us, than when we are given exactly what we need.

We will adapt, and until our beverages of choice arrive, until our situation improves (and I am confident that it will) we will enjoy the gallons of lemonade placed before us. Cheers!
